Circles Around the Sun have announced a September tour with appearances across the West Coast, Pacific Northwest and Colorado. It's the first extensive run of shows in the Western half of the U.S. with new guitarist Scott Metzger. Earlier this year, the Brooklyn-based musician was officially named the permanent replacement for founding member Neal Casal who passed away in August 2019. Tickets begin going on-sale today, 10am local, at: circlesaroundthesun.com/tour
Along with a late summer tour, Circles Around the Sun are in pre-production for a new album to be recorded in July with a planned Spring 2022 release date. The band's previous effort—a self-titled, seven track collection—was released in January 2020. Aquarium Drunkard called the album, "loose, fun, wild, and spontaneous."
Most recently, Circles Around the Sun, which in addition to new guitarist Scott Metzger also includes keyboardist Adam MacDougall, bassist Dan Horne and drummer Mark Levy, released a livestream filmed at Liberty Hair Farm on Fans.Live (watch here).
