After more than a year of long nights at the studio in between rehearsals and relentless legs of touring, Cousin Earth is ready to share their first full-length album, "Human Music." Known for their blistering ukulele solos, intricate rhythms, soaring vocal harmonies and unconventional instrumentation, the band showcases a broad spectrum of musical influences on this ten-song album, which will be available on all platforms Friday, April 27th.

The album release party will take place on the release date (4/27) at The Bowery Electric (327 Bowery, NY, NY). Cousin Earth will be joined by local favorites, Hunt for Hunter and The Phryg.  The event is 21+ and ID will be required. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online here or at the door. Doors are at 7PM.  Click here for the facebook event.

Cousin Earth is releasing their first single from "Human Music" on February 12th, 2018. As a part of their official announcement of the album's release, "Train Luck" will be released on Facebook and Youtube as a Lyric Video.

ABOUT THE ALBUM

"Human Music" features some staples from the Cousin Earth repertoire such as their face-melting "Capricorn on the Cob" and "Puerto Rican Pancakes," a Latin Jazz inspired pop song that has been with the band since their beginning. The album will also include newer songs like "Peculiar Patterns," a genre bending dance song with soaring vocals and "Train Luck," a Frank Zappa style rebuke of the New York City MTA. The record will also boast some guest appearances by Jon Schmarak (FiKus) on synth and horns as well as sax player, Jeff Gordon (NYC Ska Orchestra).

Cousin Earth began production on "Human Music," in December of 2016 at R.E.I. and Audio Workstations in Islandia, NY. Matt Einsidler, the band's long time engineer recorded, mixed, and co-produced while Adam Ayan (Paul McCartney, the Rolling Stones, the Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam) of Gateway Mastering Studios put the finishing touches on the album.
