Wilco’s dBpm Records will release a limited edition marbled green vinyl 7” of “Random Name Generator,” the first single from the band’s Star Wars album, on October 2. A live acoustic version of “Bull Black Nova,” recorded at the Solid Sound Festival in June, is featured on the flip side. The single’s cover art is a photograph of Kusan Kampanile’s Tower of Musical Bells. The playful 1950s bell-ringing instrument sits today in the Wilco Loft, the band’s Chicago recording studio. “Random Name Generator” is available for preorder now through the Wilco store.
To coincide with the release, fans can answer the questions in Wilco’s own Random Name Generator to determine which Wilco member they are most like. Click HERE to play.
