Continuing its long-standing tradition of giving back to the communities which support live events, Disco Donnie Presents (DDP) announced a $25,000 donation to Americares for Hurricane Ida Relief. The sentiment behind the donation is dear to DDP, as New Orleans is Disco Donnie’s hometown and where he got his start as the rave king in the early 1990s.

In a statement, DDP says: "Louisiana is a very special place in Disco Donnie Presents history. We are devastated to see the impact that Hurricane Ida has had on Louisiana and surrounding states. In an effort to support these regions the way they have always supported us, Disco Donnie Presents is donating $25,000 to Americares for Hurricane Ida Relief.” In the spirit of camaraderie, DDP invites fans to join in donating to Americares' Hurricane Ida match program at https://www.americares.org.

This is not the first time DDP has made a donation to support emergency relief efforts. In early 2021, DDP donated $15,000 toward Texas Ice Storm relief. Nearly 1/3 of DDP’s staff was affected by the ice storm, so the challenges faced by Texans hit close to home. The donation provided support for three Texas food banks, the Houston Food Bank (Houston), North Texas Food Bank (Dallas), and Central Texas Food Bank (Austin). The donations helped stranded families without food and essentials and equated to approximately 7,500 meals for those in need.

DDP is dedicated to supporting the communities in which they operate. In 2019, following the successful, sold-out inauguration of the Ubbi Dubbi Festival, DDP made a donation of $15,000 to three regional groups as a show of appreciation. Receiving $5,000 each were: The Fort Worth POA “Cops for Kids,” Fort Worth B-Cycle, and Girls Rock Fort Worth. The Ubbi Dubbi donation was followed up in 2021, with a donation of $10,000 to Ennis Cares, a local organization invested in helping the local community in a variety of areas, such as food, vaccines, and assistance for the elderly. In 2021, DDP and Sunset Music Festival donated $50,000 to local Florida charities, including $25,000 to the Moffit Cancer Center's Adolescent and Young Adult Program (AYA) and $25,000 to the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System in Florida. The VA donation provided support to various programs, including Creative Arts, Mental Health, Recreation Programs, Social Work Programs and Women Veterans.
