Ella Vos’ new EP Watch and Wait is due January 25. The EP is Vos’ first new project since her critically acclaimed debut album, Words I Never Said. Furthermore, Vos is also sharing her video for “Ocean” today—watch here.
Of the new song Ella says, “I wrote ‘Ocean’ about accepting where you’re at in life. Cancer forced me to readjust my expectations and find freedom in letting them go. This video is about moving through that space and exploring what that feels like. For me, it feels like that childlike freedom of riding on a bike or exploring a forest.”
“Ocean” is the second offering from Watch and Wait following Vos’ directorial debut for “Cast Away.” Since its release “Cast Away” has been praised by Uproxx as “gorgeous, mellowed-out electro-pop,” while Ones To Watch furthers, “Vos is inspiring in her artistry and in her journey as a woman, and her voice speaks for many who might be facing a similar tidal wave of tribulations.”
Ella Vos has quickly become one of the most exciting new acts in pop music. Beginning with her viral hit “White Noise,” Vos has hit number 1 on both Spotify and Hype Machine’s Viral Charts. Acclaimed for her dreamy soundscape and praised by the likes of Rolling Stone and Neon Gold, her debut album Words I Never Said has received over 200 million streams independently. Vos has consistently sold out shows across North America. With more than 200 million streams on Spotify to date, Ella Vos’ songs have soundtracked ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” MTV’s “Catfish,” E!’s “Life of Kylie” and The CW’s “The Originals.” Recently, Vevo dscvr named Vos one of their 2018 Artists To Watch—watch her performance of “I Know You Care” here. In 2019, Ella will be playing festivals, with headlining dates to be announced very soon.
