One of the most respected voices in reggae music today, The Expanders will continue to spread their passion for the genre when their “Roots Train Fall Tour” makes stops in eight western states from October 5-28, 2017.

The tour kicks off in Denver, Colorado, just days after the September 29 release of their highly anticipated new record, Old Time Something Come Back Again, Vol. 2, released via Easy Star Records. The album’s first three singles, “Strugglers’ Time,” “Put Those Fools” and “Life Is A Funny Thing,” are all available now. The second installment in the band’s cover series, which pays homage to the great voices of reggae, will be celebrated with an album release party in Los Angeles on November 24.

“We can’t wait to get back out on the road in October and share these songs,” said The Expanders’ singer/rhythm guitarist Devin Morrison. “Recording this collection was an amazing experience for everyone in the band. We took a deep dive into the evolution of reggae and found songs that still speak to the world we’re all facing today. We’re stoked to see our fans and to have our friends Iya Terra and For Peace Band on the tour with us.”

Praised by fans and critics alike as one of the most influential artists in the revival of the roots-reggae genre, The Expanders reached #1 on the Billboard Reggae Charts with their 2015 release of original songs, Hustling Culture. Building their sound around classic ‘70s and early ‘80s-style reggae, the band has been recognized for their haunting three-part vocal harmonies and arresting lyrics, all laid down over a tight instrumental groove.

A favorite on the festival circuit, The Expanders’ have played Cali Roots Festival (Monterey, CA), Closer To The Sun (Mexico), ARISE Festival (Loveland, CO), Reggae RiseUp (St. Petersburg, FL), Shoreline Jam (Long Beach, CA), One Love Cali Reggae Fest (Long Beach, CA), Winter Rock Reggae Fest (Salt Lake City, UT), Reggae On The Block (Orlando, FL) and Dry Diggings (Placerville, CA). The band has opened for such giants of the reggae scene as Slightly Stoopid, Iration, Tribal Seeds, The Expendables, Giant Panda Guerilla Squad and The Black Seeds.

The Expanders consists of John Asher (Drums, Vocals), John Butcher (Guitar, Vocals), Roy Fishell (Organs), Chiquis Lozoya (Bass, Vocals), and Devin Morrison (Guitar, Vocals).
