Key West, Florida psychedelic rockers AstroYeti release the spacey, psychedelic, humorous and infectiously fun new EP ‘Disastro Spaghetti’, released March 15th via Conch Town Records.
Following the release of their debut album which saw the band gain widespread press, and radio coverage as well as playlist placements across DSPs, ‘Disastro Spaghetti’ see’s the band once again showcases their unique alt-funk-rock soundscapes in a fittingly colourful and vibrant manner.
Speaking about the EP, the band add: “Part one of an epic crime solving Space adventure, "Disastro Spaghetti" digs deeper into AstroYeti's signature tropical space funk and delivers a powerful blow to evil doers through the galaxy and beyond. It's got puppets...and spaceships. What more can you ask for?
We view this EP as a stand alone adventure involving the puppet astronauts and their interstellar Van. Somewhere on one of the moons of Flurb in the Clabous Sector, the gang inadvertently trigger a cosmic reaction resulting in a monstrous spaghetti creature that terrorises the quadrant. Each song touches on a different theme; fear, hate, freedom, love, loneliness, regret, and together paint the sonic backdrop for yet another amazing AstroYeti adventure!”
Describing themselves as “a secret society of Space-Caper solving time crime fighters”, AstroYeti’s unique blend of trippy island rock tinged spacefunk is perfectly matched with their out of this world image - a band of colourful miscreant universal explorers making joyous music with bags of energy and musical depth.
Having already established themselves with radio play across the UK and US and features across tastemaker press including Earmilk, Psychedelic Baby Magazine, Clout, Backseat Mafia and Fab UK.
