With the band's second leg of their Fall Tour kicking off tomorrow in Des Moines, IA, Greensky Bluegrass announces their first series of dates for 2015. The first leg of the Winter Tour takes them up and down the Eastern US in January and February with highlights including multiple dual-night stands in such venerable venues as the 9:30 Club and New York's fabled Brooklyn Bowl.
Greensky continues to ride the nationwide buzz from their new album, If Sorrows Swim, which debuted at #1 on the Billboard Bluegrass charts, #4 at Billboard Heatseekers and even cracked the Billboard Top 200 the week of its September 9 release.
The Bluegrass Situation highlights that with the new release, the band "have put together as fine a record as you’ll find in their repertoire, worthy of repeated and thoughtful listening sessions." Additional insight comes from No Depression who uncovered "the depth and sophistication of the band’s interplay" on the new release.
