Guitar virtuoso Steve Kimock will be delighting fans across the Eastern seaboard and American Midwest this spring, as he gears up for his first major tour in nearly three years. To accompany him on stage for the tour, Kimock has hand-picked an all-star cast including Bernie Worrell (Parliament Funkadelic, Talking Heads) on keys, Wally Ingram (Sheryl Crow, David Lindley) on drums, and bassists Andy Hess (Gov’t Mule, Black Crowes) and Reed Mathis (Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, Tea Leaf Green). Along the way, the band will be debuting some exciting new material as well as showcasing Kimock’s extensive 30-year catalog. Renown worldwide for his intricate and lyrical guitar-play and masterful improvisation, Kimock has lead listeners on an ever-winding, melodic journey for nearly four decades. His soulful licks are expressed through innumerable guitar styles; Kimock continuously blurs the lines of genre, exploring the sound within his own music and vivid tonal landscape. Though it has been said Kimock can imitate most anyone’s music and style, evident in his work with the first “post-Grateful Dead” project, The Other Ones, few can truly match his level of expertise and fluidity. Kimock will be wowing audiences from Maine to Florida. Those who come out will be treated to an intimate evening of sonic exploration and will experience a unique perspective into the inner congruity of some of the nation’s most revered musicians.
