Born on Friday the 13th in Washington, D.C. and raised in Laurel, Maryland, Jeff Aug is a cool underground guitarist who has been living at the foothills of the Alps in Southern Germany for the last 14 years. He has toured with Allan Holdsworth, Soft Machine, Johnny A., Albert Lee, and has performed shows with Jawbox, Shudder To Think, and Ice-T & Bodycount with his old band. He's worked with John Stabb from Government Issue, has been touring and recording with Anne Clark for the last 10 years, and has been touring as a solo guitarist for the last 20 years. Jeff can also be heard on the new Atari Teenage Riot album Is This Hyperreal? released in June 2011 (Dim Mak Records / Digital Hardcore Records). He has also set the world record for the "most concerts performed in different countries in 24 hours" twice (2009, 2012).
It´s been 3 years, 1 world record, 2 tours , 4 European tours with Anne Clark, 1 tour as support for Soft Machine, countless solo headline performances across the U.S. and Europe (including Fusion Festival, Krach am Bach Festival, Klangbad Festival, and others), and 6 major features in guitar magazines worldwide (including Gitarist, Guitar, Guitar Player, Akustik Gitarre, Guitar Acoustic) since JEFF AUG released his last solo album Living Room Sessions in 2009.
After a gruelling year of recording and touring which included tours with Soft Machine and Johnny A., as well as a performance supporting John Kadlecik (Furthur) in the U.S., Jeff Aug released his 5th solo acoustic instrumental fingerstyle guitar album Wedding Song on Friday, 02.March 2012.
To promote Wedding Song, Jeff Aug set a new world record for 'Most concerts performed in different countries in 24 hours´ by performing 9x concerts in 9x countries in 24 hours on March 3, 2012. We expect a confirm from Guinness Book of World Records™ in the next few weeks.
11 x days later, Aug hit the road for a string of dates which will include headliner performances, shows with the jam band sensation moe., and yet another European tour with the Jazz Fusion Guitar Legend ALLAN HOLDSWORTH.
