On April 18, HARD Events webpage locked itself behind a log-in screen, prompting the curious to try and unlock it. A 1-800 number was listed and when called, offered this message, "Can you imagine the world without the internet? Phones practically useless. Computers reduced to storage devices for photos and aging MP3s. Well, have no fear. Hard has set up this emergency number to get you vital Hard Fest information via hotline free from the net." Now the digital curtain has been lifted to reveal the line-up and location of the major summer event HARD SUMMER.
Helming headlining spots for the two-day event is ICE CUBE on Saturday, July 30 and MAJOR LAZER on Sunday, July 31. Also topping the bill are Flosstradamus, Porter Robinson, DJ Khaled and Claude VonStroke on day one, and Dillon Francis, Travi$ Scott, Zeds Dead and Madeon on day two. The complete bill follows below. The festival trailer highlighting the names of all acts confirmed also features cameos by HARD SUMMER performers Diplo of Major Lazer, Flosstradamus, Zeds Dead, Destructo, Justin Martin, Kill The Noise, Mija, Felix Da Housecat and Wax Motif. Directed by Agata Alexander, it takes a comical peek at what life would be like for some of these artists if their popularity is taken away by not having the internet-#RipTheInternet.
