A food drive to benefit the Metropolitan Ministries of Tampa Bay will be a part of Tampa Bay’s Big Guava Music Festival May 2-4, at the Florida State Fairgrounds.Donors who bring five (5) non-perishable food items at the collection booth by the Will Call windows at the front gate of The Florida State Fairgrounds will get a beautifully designed Big Guava poster created by world renowned artist David Lebo as our gift.The first 250 people to bring twenty (20) items will receive a special treat: a numbered original silkscreen print of this artwork. The collection booth is manned an hour before gates open each day and 5 hours after gates open. Collection times at the gates are:Friday, May 2 – 3:30PM Saturday-Sunday, May 3 and 4 - 11:30AM Imagine receiving a valuable work of art just for helping feed those in your community less fortunate than yourself. About the artist: David “LEBO” Le Batard is widely recognized for working in a wide spectrum of creative mediums including murals, paintings and sculptures.
