This fall Hot Tuna will deliver nights of music filled with the unexpected twists that come from years of creating inspired improvisations along with careful recreations of American music and their own originals.
Sometimes an acoustic duo sometimes a full-fledged rock and roll band, Jack Casady and Jorma Kaukonen always deliver music emotively and consciously to their audiences, creating an evening a fun and camaraderie.
From their days playing together as teenagers to their current acoustic and electric blues, Jorma and Jack, the core members of Hot Tuna, have celebrated over fifty years of playing together. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers and Jefferson Airplane founding members create a propelling sound, cruising through new songs, old songs, traditional songs and instrumentals. With Kaukonen’s inventive finger-picking guitar work and Casady’s full-driving bass lines, Hot Tuna delivers soulful music bursting with creative energy. Rolling Stone declared, “Hot Tuna is a Psychedelic-Blues Institution.”
