In Motion marks the Jimkata's second successful go at an entirely crowd-sourced record and ushers in a new chapter as a trio. The record, which premiered via Billboard Magazine, is a triumph of swirling analog synths and breezy hooks in the vein of Yeasayer, St. Lucia, Peter Gabriel and Broken Bells.

Friends since middle school Evan Friedell (vocals/guitar), Aaron Gorsch (synths) and Packy Lunn (drums) infuse Jimkata -- which, yes, is named after the so-bad-it's-good 1985 gym-fu caper Gymkata--with both an adventurous musical streak and an emotional core. Jimkata is bringing its dynamic live show across the US for the next two months, including an opening slot for X Ambassadors in its hometown of Ithaca, NY. See below for a full run of dates.
