Louder Than Life has retained its title of the Biggest Rock Festival In North America after a successful 2023 edition that welcomed 180,000 music fans over the weekend of September 21-24, breaking a new event record. Held at its home at the Highland Festival Grounds At Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, Kentucky, the four-day destination event, presented by Danny Wimmer Presents, hosted 100 bands on five stages with memorable performances from Foo Fighters, Tool, Avenged Sevenfold, Green Day and Weezer (the latter two making their DWP festival debuts).
In addition, viral TikTok star Oliver Anthony was a late addition to the fest with two appearances Thursday and Friday in the Big Bourbon Bar. Falling In Reverse also paid homage to Smash Mouth singer Steve Harwell with a cover of the band’s hit “All Star” and Run The Jewels’ Killer Mike hosted an official Louder Than Life after party hosted by SPIN. Other performers across the worlds of rock and metal included Godsmack, Pantera, Queens of the Stone Age, Megadeth, Turnstile, Rancid, Falling In Reverse, 311, Pierce The Veil, Run The Jewels, Corey Taylor, Coheed and Cambria, Royal Blood, Parkway Drive, Bad Omens, BABYMETAL and many more.
Several bands also participated in surprise celebrity bartending sessions at the Headbangers Hall attraction, including Corey Taylor, Asking Alexandria and Avatar, among others. Louder Than Life was hosted by Jose “Metal Ambassador” Mangin.
The dates for 2024 have now been announced as September 26-29, with passes on sale this Friday, September 29 at 12pm EST, starting at $10 down at www.LouderThanLifeFestival.com.
