Vevo announces the release of Matt Maeson's live performance for "Beggar's Song." The Chesapeake Bay area native took to music early, learning drums and guitar at a young age and eventually touring as a part of his father's prison ministry. Already struggling through a rebellious period in his late teens, the experience of performing at high security prisons and various other dark corners of society made a lasting impression on Maeson and helped realign his focus on a career as a singer/songwriter.
Melding bluesy indie folk and modern production, he began posting tracks on Soundcloud and eventually caught the ear of Atlantic affiliate Neon Gold Records, signing with them in 2016 and embarking on his first Communion-presented headlining tour that summer. He released "Beggar's Song" in early 2019, with EARMILK dubbing it "a medley of emotions with a catchy, powerful chorus that managed to somehow be self-depreciating and motivating at the same time." "Beggar's Song" is out now on all streaming platforms, and be sure to keep up with exclusive content from artists all over the world on YouTube.com/Vevo.
