Colorado's legendary Red Rocks Amphitheatre, a natural geologic phenomenon in the foothills of the Rocky Mountain's Front Range, is a world-renown outdoor venue and a favorite among fans and performers alike. Last year, MONOLITH festival organizers Josh Baker and Matt Fecher, together with AEG Live Rocky Mountains, thrilled fans and industry by putting on the first ever multi-day, multi-stage festival at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Despite today's saturated summer festival season, MONOLITH Presented by Esurance proved to fill a niche:
"The outrageously beautiful Red Rocks has been screaming out for an underground/indie-style music festival for many years…Thanks to the tireless work of an elite group of Colorado scenesters, the dream is now a reality." – Billboard
"A practically non-stop blend of music…ranging from local Colorado talent on up through internationally touring acts." – PopMatters.com
"In an age where so many metropolitan areas have their own European-styled rock festival… most impressive about MONOLITH was the organization and the quality." – Denver Post
"The packed MONOLITH lineup all rock[ed] out among the breathtaking geological formations." – Pitchfork.com
Following the huge success of the inaugural MONOLITH festival, today organizers announce the dates for the second edition of MONOLITH Presented by Esurance. The 2008 festival will be held on Saturday, September 13 and Sunday, September 14. Mark your calendar now - there's no better way to close out the summer than with this exceptional and intimate festival at one of the country's most beautiful venues.
Organizers will also be offering upgraded VIP packages for those looking to enhance their MONOLITH experience. Lineup details are forthcoming. Stay tuned to www.monolithfestival.com for the most current information.
