Acclaimed soul-rock trio, The Nth Power, will extend their “Fall Back In Love Tour” with nine additional Midwest tour dates in November and a three-night Northeast New Year's Eve run, the band announces today. The esteemed collective, which features guitarist and vocalist Nick Cassarino (Jennifer Hartswick Band), bassist Nate Edgar (John Brown’s Body) and drummer and vocalist Nikki Glaspie (Beyonce) performs in support of their newly released studio album, Reverence.
Described as “a live band to truly adore” by Glide, the versatile and genre-bending group will bring their explosive live set to music rooms across the Midwest throughout the first two weeks of November – with notable performances in Detroit, Chicago, Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis and Memphis – following festival performances at Hangtown Festival in Placerville, California Oct. 22-23 and Suwannee Hulaween in Live Oak, Florida Oct. 30. The Nth Power then returns to the Northeast to ring in 2022 with a trio of shows in Waterbury, Vermont; Albany, New York and Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Both musically and lyrically, The Nth Power taps into an energy that is often both sensual and spiritual, infusing high doses of American rock, soul, funk and rhythm and blues. Reverence presents a full-circle evolution in the trio’s distinctive sound, offering a more mature expression of their collective talent that shares a deep message of hope, empathy, gratitude, self-forgiveness and, above all, the universal power of love. Watch The Nth Power perform “Reach Out” live at Paste Studios HERE.
Independently released on Sept. 29 and distributed by The Orchard, Reverence is dedicated to the memory of Grammy-winning keyboardist Kofi Burbridge, who guests on keys and flute throughout. Other featured guests on the album include renowned saxophonist Maceo Parker, vocalists Ivan Neville and Nick Daniels III of Dumpstaphunk, vocalist Cheryl Pepsii Riley and keyboardist Amy Bellamy.
Concert attendees to The Nth Power’s live set will experience compelling new songs from the new record – songs like “Reach Out” which encourages listeners to build a better world for those around them, and “I Will Never Leave You,” which was inspired by Cassarino’s first trip to a camp run by the Harold Robinson Foundation, a charity that supports at-risk youth in metro Los Angeles. Arguably the most intriguing new departure for the band’s live act is the Americana-driven “Take My Soul” which dives head first into traditional blues treatments with a tale of a runaway slave. But fans will also enjoy some of the band’s beloved anthems, like “Only Love” and new treatments to signature songs like “Spirits” during the live show.
No matter the night, The Nth Power spreads a message of love and understanding with a world-class amalgamation of talent that will inspire audiences to dance, groove, make love or just stand there with goosebumps.
