Old Sea Brigade longs for NY winters and undoing his haircut on "Man Made By Delusion"

Old Sea Brigade has returned today with his first new release of 2022, continuing a breakout stretch that's seen the Nashville songwriter praised for making "some of the best quarantine art" (Consequence) and as one of SPIN's "favorite musicians" of last year. On "Man Made By Delusion" (Nettwerk Music Group), he employs a pitch-perfect bluntness to capture those moments where nothing feels right....an awkward conversation, a bad glance in the mirror, those moods where even sunshine gets under your skin. But as the song's title suggests it's always less to do with reality than it appears, and it's in realizing that where you learn to reconcile with - and maybe even embrace - those moments of doubt. Returning with his "melodic and memorable, warm and hazy production" (WNYC), Old Sea Brigade shares yet another example of his ability to chronicle our shared experiences so potently.

Written with Trent Dabbs, whose credits include Kacey Musgraves' smash "High Horse" as well as breakouts for Nashville indie staples like COIN and Liza Anne, "Man Made By Delusion" was recorded in a small cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina with longtime Old Sea Brigade collaborators Owen Lewis and Jeremy Griffith. The new release kicks off a busy spring and summer schedule for the "infectiously propulsive" (Uncut) musician -  including a return to the road with Passenger this month, marking Old Sea Brigade's biggest North American shows to date and beginning at the legendary Town Hall in New York City on April 18. A full list of tour dates is below.

“Trent and I were talking about the mental chess one plays when someone you’ve met can’t remember your name," says Old Sea Brigade of "Man Made By Delusion." "So we decided to unpack it in a song.”
