Following a busy festival season, Baltimore-based funk quartet Pigeons Playing Ping Pong has announced an upcoming Fall Tour that will take them from the Southeast US to the West Coast with support on all shows by up-and-coming jammers Dogs In A Pile.
The funky foursome will kick off October with their last festival of the year, Hulaween at The Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, FL, marking their first performance at the festival since 2019. Next, Pigeons will head to New Orleans’ Tipitina’s on October 29th, followed by a stop in Austin on Halloween proper, then Dallas and Fayetteville, AR before heading west to the mountains for their highly-anticipated return to Denver’s Mission Ballroom on November 4th with both Dogs in a Pile and Joe Hertler & the Rainbow Seekers.
After finishing the mountain run through Salt Lake City, Bozeman, and Boise, the band will cruise down the West Coast, returning to familiar venues such as Seattle’s Neptune Theatre (site of the fan-favorite “evil Neptune” version of “Poseidon” from March 2022) and Portland’s bouncing Crystal Ballroom, before finishing up through Oregon, the Bay Area, SoCal, and Tempe’s Marquee Theatre.
“Don’t get me wrong, we’re always excited to play wherever we are,” said lead singer and rhythm guitarist “Scrambled Greg” Ormont, “but this tour really has some of our favorite places to play in the country. From Suwannee to New Orleans to Denver to the West Coast, I can’t wait. Plus, we’re bringing our buds Dogs In A Pile, whose guitarist Jimmy may or may not be my long lost brother. Only time will tell.”
The Fall Tour announcement comes on the heels of their annual music festival Domefest at Legend Valley in Thornville, OH, where the band dazzled fans with eight unique setlists featuring new originals, debut covers, fresh collaborations, and the band’s third-ever one-song set.
The tour will also include a new “VIPPPP Package” where purchasers will receive one (1) premium reserved or general admission ticket, a personal meet & greet and photo with the band, a limited edition show poster signed by PPPP, a commemorative VIP laminate, and early access to band merchandise before doors open to the public.
Tickets to all newly announced shows go on sale this Friday June 16th at 10am Local Venue Time. Artist Presale Tickets are available Wednesday, June 14 at 10am Local Time through Thursday June 15 at 10pm Local Time with password: PPPPFALL23.
