Pink Talking Fish closed out 2020 with a Halloween show in Swanzey, NH at Drive In Live. The weather dipped down into the 20 degree zone but, in the spirit of 2020, the band and audience toughed it out to enjoy a rare, live music experience.
PTF was dressed in skeleton jumpsuits with black and white skeleton facepaint. The band added many Halloween extras to the music including ‘Roses Are Free’ with “Smash The Pumpkin on the Tree” lyric alteration into Smashing Pumpkin’s song ‘Cherub Rock’, Slayer’s song ‘Raining Blood’ in the middle of ‘Big Black Furry Creature From Mars’, and an encore that included ‘November Rain’ by Guns n Roses.
One of the best antics that came out of the Halloween Set was a mashup of ‘Carini’ and ‘War Pigs’. Pink Talking Fish has released a video of the performance in celebration of their upcoming 2021 return to the same venue in Swanzey, NH, which is now called Northlands Live and a pod style venue rather than a drive in. PTF performs at Northlands Live this Friday.
