World travelers and folk sister-duo Leah and Chloe Smith of Rising Appalachia are returning to Colorado for a sold out show at Red Rocks with Trevor Hall and Citizen Cope on April 28.

Skilled on the banjo, fiddle, guitar, and more, the multi-instrumentalist duo, Rising Appalachia, has gained an international fanbase due to their tireless touring, activism, and commitment to embracing music from cross the world. Originally taught in old-timey technique, their Appalachian folk roots blend with sounds of urban music and other global influences, their voices being one of the main instruments.

Leah shares, "“Rising Appalachia has come out of this idea that we can take these traditions of southern music – that we’ve been born and raised with – and we can rise out of them, creating all these different bridges between cultures and stories to make them feel alive."
