Seth Walker has announced a U.S. tour this spring in support of The Mavericks. The 24-date run comes in support of Seth's latest album, Time Can Change. With dates spanning from coast-to-coast, the tour begins March 15 in San Antonio, TX and continues through April 20 when it concludes in Verona, NY. The shows are the latest in a series of collaborations between Seth and The Mavericks' frontman Raul Malo. This past December, Seth opened a string of dates on Raul's solo tour. The pair also co-wrote two songs on The Mavericks' forthcoming new album, In Time."My buddy Seth Walker had this song ("Back In Your Arms Again") and when he played it for me, it stopped me in my tracks because it sounded like something that would fit The Mavericks perfectly," says Malo. "So I ended up helping him finish it, which in songwriters' terms means I weaseled my way onto his song. And I'm so glad I did because it really was what started this whole process."Originally from North Carolina, Seth spent close to fifteen years in Austin, soaking up music from classic Texas blues men like T-Bone Walker and Lightnin’ Hopkins and honing his own signature blend of soulful croon and down home guitar playing. Time Can Change—Seth’s seventh album—was recorded after a three-year stint in Nashville and released in 2012. The album traded the studio sophistication of its more polished predecessor (2009's Leap of Faith) for a grittier sound and more intimate approach to songwriting. Self-produced and unequivocally personal, Time Can Change received warm reviews and includes another Walker-Malo collaboration entitled "What Now," a ballad that would sit comfortably with other standards from The Great American Songbook. Seth recently relocated to New Orleans, completeing the trifecta as a resident of the South's three most influential music cities. With a blues man's respect for roots and tradition, coupled with an appreciation for—and successful melding of—contemporary songwriting, Seth is an engaging performer whose tasteful guitar playing and nuanced vocals will provide the perfect opener to an evening of exciting, genre-defying music. On this tour, everyone’s invited.Upcoming Seth Walker Tour Dates with The Mavericks are:March 15th: Sam’s Burger Joint (San Antonio, TX)March 16th: Luckenbach Dance Hall (Fredericksburg, TX)March 20th: The Lensic Theatre (Santa Fe, NM)March 21st: Fox Tucson Theatre (Tucson, AZ)March 22nd: Avi Resort & Casino (Laughlin, NV)March 23rd: Coach House (San Juan Capistrano, CA)March 25th: Belly Up Tavern (Solana Beach, CA)March 26th: El Rey Theatre (Los Angeles, CA)March 27th: McCallum Theatre (Palm Desert, CA)March 28th: Buck Owens’ Crystal Palace (Bakersfield, CA)March 30th: Crest Theatre (Sacramento, CA)April 1st: Gothic Theatre (Denver, CO)April 3rd: The Pantages Theatre (Minneapolis, MN)April 4th: Park West (Chicago, IL)April 5th: Royal Oak Music Theatre (Royal Oak, MI)April 9th: Birchmere (Alexandria, VA)April 10th: Keswick Theatre (Glenside, PA)April 11th: Calvin Theatre (Northampton, MA)April 12th: Royale (Boston, MA)April 13th: Tarrytown Music Hall (Tarrytown, NY)April 17th: Carnegie Library Music Hall (Pittsburgh, PA)April 18th: Musikfest Cafe (Bethlehem, PA)April 19th: House of Blues (Atlantic City, NJ)April 20th: Turning Stone Resort & Casino (Verona, NY)
