Sounds Australia brings over a dozen Australian Artists to CMJ!

Sounds Australia will provide the entertainment at the College Day "2 For the Showcase" lunch on October 21 featuring live performances (2 songs each) from Voltaire Twins, City Riots, Crayon Fields, The Jezabels and Philadelphia Grand Jury.

Sounds Australia hosts a very special CMJ Wrap Party on October 24 At the Cyber PR Headquarters (389 12th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11215) with live performances by Paul Dempsey, Arron Dean, Luluc, Circle Pit and Tanya Horo (Sherlock's Daughter).

What is Sounds Australia?
Sounds Australia is Australia's national export initiative, established to deliver a cohesive and unified platform at international showcase market events, supported through a financial partnership between both Federal and State governments, along with peak music industry bodies.

Sounds Australia aims to raise the profile and visibility of the Australian contemporary music sector within key international music markets. By centralising efforts through the financial investment from The Australia Council for the Arts, Trade Queensland, Vic Rocks, Department of Culture and the Arts, Arts SA and Industry & Investment NSW, along with peak industry bodies APRA|AMCOS, PPCA and the Australian Music Industry Association (AMIN), Sounds Australia plans to support Australia’s presence at key music markets whilst simultaneously putting Australia’s musical talents on the world map and promoting the nation as a truly creative cultural hub.
