Romania’s acclaimed UNTOLD Festival (August 3-6 in Cluj-Napoca) has revealed the first names from its techno line-up, and it’s a seriously hefty proposition.
Chris Liebing, Loco Dice, Solomun and Sven Väth all make their debuts at the festival, while Jamie Jones and Dubfire return once again. Chris Liebing brings his industrious sounds, Loco Dice the slick grooves of his Desolat label, Solomun those big melodies and hooks that have seen him rise to prominence, Sven Väth his big room journey genius, Jamie Jones his low-slung house and bassy techno vibes and Dubfire his stripped-back intensity. With such diversity in these first announced acts, it’s guaranteed to be a truly epic programme. These six huge artists represent another real statement of intent from UNTOLD.
The techno line-up will fill the 10,000-capacity Polyvalent Hall indoor arena, with the baying crowd dancing under stunning stellar constellations, intergalactic creatures, cosmic jellyfish and Transylvanian dragons. No expenses will be spared to give the pounding soundtrack a truly spectacular visual accompaniment.
