Knew Conscious, Denver's premier social club around the arts has partnered with couchtour.tv for an exclusive re-broadcast of this past Saturday's performance of Ross James & Andy Thorn's Electric Dead Grass ft. Garrett Sayers (The Motet) and Mark Levy (Circles Around the Sun) airing on Wednesday, February 8th at 7pm MT. During the performance, the quartet was joined by Billy Strings after his sold-out show at 1st Bank Center who joins the band on three songs.
The performance features additional guest sit-ins by Billy Failing on banjo and Alex Hargreaves on fiddle who also came over after performing with Billy Strings at 1st Bank Center. Throughout the night, the group traverses through the Grateful Dead catalog as well as selections including Jimmy Cliff's "Sittin in Limbo," the second tune in which Billy Strings shared the stage with the ensemble. Founded by visual artist Kurt Redeker in 2011, Knew Conscious is rooted in a "for artists, by artists" ethos. Redker's kaleidoscopic digital artwork adorns the venue and artists and industry members alike flock to the venue for specially curated late-night performances featuring world-class talent. Within the last year, Kamasi Washington, Eric Krasno, Bill Nershi, Mark Farina, and many more have taken the stage after prior performances in the Denver-metro area.
