Wilco is proud to announce Sky Blue Sky, a destination concert experience curated by the band, taking place January 18-22, 2020 in Mexico at the all-inclusive Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. Sky Blue Sky will feature three full shows by Wilco, plus performances by Courtney Barnett (solo), Sharon Van Etten, Kamasi Washington, Jeff Tweedy, Dr. Dog, Yo La Tengo, Calexico, The Autumn Defense, Durand Jones & The Indications, The Comet Is Coming, and local band, Archi. Public on sale begins May 22, 2019 at 12pm ET.
The Sky Blue Sky all-inclusive experience is limited to 2300 fans where all guests stay on site at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya. Package prices start at $1599 with all meals, beverages, concerts, and activities included. Daily activities offered include poolside games, cooking demos, yoga classes, and more. Additionally, guests can book off-site excursions to explore the local culture and natural beauty of the area – such as visiting the nearby Mayan ruins in Tulum, snorkeling with sea turtles in Akumal, or zip-lining through the jungle. All excursions will be available to book through the event website. For those who wish to extend their stay, there is a special discounted rate for extra nights before and after the event.
The Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya is an all-inclusive resort located between Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Guests can choose from a variety of room categories throughout the property, including Concert Courtyard and Stagefront suites located at the Main Stage. Shows will take place in two outdoor, oceanside venues.
Charitable organization, Positive Legacy will be working with the event to integrate live music and service by taking actions that positively impact the local community and the environment. Positive Legacy encourages artists and fans to participate in a day of service and cultural connection in the local community. In addition to the day of service, the event will feature a fundraising auction and donation drive to benefit local school children. All proceeds from the auction will go toward ongoing Positive Legacy projects in the region.
