Lisa Fischer and her three-piece band Grand Batan live the last night before finishing up the month in Europe then back in the states in March.
Chicago, IL
For the past few years, Lisa Fischer is out on her own showcasing her incredible voice after four decades of singing back up for The Rolling Stones, Tina Turner, Chaka Khan, Nine Inch Nails, and others. After appearing in the Oscar-winning documentary "Twenty Feet from Stardom," she started becoming a recognized name and a live draw coupled with great audience exposure at notable festivals Newport and Monterey Jazz Festivals.
Her voice is powerful and versatile. On stage, she conveys warmth, humor and a kind heart. But further added excitement to her show is these incredible arrangements of songs such as Robert Palmer's "Addicted to Love," The Police's "Message in a Bottle" and The Rolling Stones' " Gimme Shelter."
