All of this and more made the first annual Heatwave Music Festival unforgettable.

As soon as I heard the guy selling flower crowns charmingly belittling his own product, I knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be. Despite the cool fog that hung over the weekend, taking in the towering eucalyptus trees that encase Golden Gate Park, I felt warm. Back at Outside Lands for my third year, it almost instantly felt like I was home again.
X Games MUSIC returns to downtown Aspen’s Wagner Park this weekend with four globally recognized musical guests performing as part of the X Games Aspen 2014 event. Grammy Award-winning alternative rock band Phoenix and international dance music superstar Tiësto anchor the two nights of music. Each night features an opening set - high-energy indie rock duo Matt & Kim and prolific Swedish dance artist and DJ Axwell – respectively. Complete event details are included below.
X Games Music Presents returns to downtown Aspen’s Wagner Park Jan. 25 and 26 with four globally recognized musical guests as part of the X Games Aspen 2014 event. International dance music superstar Tiësto anchors the event on Sunday, which also includes a set by Axwell, while Phoenix, and Matt & Kim take center stage on Saturday. Fans can purchase $30 general admission tickets or $150 X Games Music VIP tickets, which include heated platform viewing, food and drink and more. The X Games Music series in Aspen will benefit The V Foundation for Cancer Research.

Tiësto’s first-ever foray into developing budding new talent has been a smash success: the world’s biggest DJ and critically acclaimed producer has selected the winner of his first-ever remix contest, held this fall in conjunction with Beatport, the industry leader in electronic music downloads. The winning remix of “Knock You Out” featuring vocalist/keyboardist Emily Haines of electro-influenced indie rock band Metric was created by San Francisco-based DJ and remixer Ken Loi.
