Another year rolls by, and as the calendar flips to August 31st, we at Grateful Web pause to celebrate a man whose music has traversed the decades with the grace of a river winding its way through a lush, timeless landscape. Van Morrison, the Belfast Cowboy, has been at the forefront of the musical journey, from his early days with Them to his expansive solo career, which has made its mark on generations of listeners.

We are very excited to announce that legendary singer Van Morrison will be playing two intimate post Christmas and New Year shows at London's Electric Ballroom.

The Beale Street Music Festival returned to Memphis after a nearly three-year pandemic-induced hiatus. One of America's oldest music festivals made its triumphant return marking its 44th anniversary. The three-day event, steeped in the polite mannerisms associated with the region's southern charm and gracious manners, overcame a plethora of obstacles, including those related to the Covid epidemic, logistical problems, and weather issues.

Today Van Morrison released the third single, "Dangerous", from his forthcoming What’s It Gonna Take?, his 43rd studio album. It will be released on Exile Productions/Virgin on May 20th. "Pretending" and "Nervous Breakdown" are the first two tracks from the album, both of which are out now everywhere online.

Van Morrison, Agnes Obel and Kae Tempest are the first international names to shape the lineup of Gent Jazz 2022. The artists had already been confirmed to perform at the the editions of 2020 and 2021, but were to withdraw from performing due to the pandemic. The organization then established alternative editions twice. Earlier this year, Sting already moved his 'My Songs' tour to 2022 and he will be come over to Ghent on July 13.

Black Deer Festival, Europe’s premier Americana playground, has revealed further festival favourites as part of its ‘three years in the making’ 2022 comeback line-up. The UK’s ‘Best New Festival’ takes place in the wild and spectacular surroundings of the oldest deer park in England, and will welcome Van Morrison, Wilco (Uk Exclusive), The Waterboys, Foy Vance, Drive-By Truckers, The Dead South and many more to its stages next summer.

Legendary singer songwriter Jesse Colin Young is set to release his rousing rendition of Van Morrison’s “These Dreams of You” on Friday, August 20. The single, which will be available on all streaming platforms, will be accompanied by a new music video.

“'These Dreams of You’ is a tongue in cheek look at relationships gone really wrong, and I couldn’t resist a good shuffle,” said Young.
