Chris Cornell received a pair of posthumous nominations for the 2022 GRAMMY Awards, which will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Monday, January 31. Nominated for best rock album for “No One Sings Like You Anymore Vol.

Announced today, Blue Élan Records will release a collection of singles, under the title We Are The Highway, beginning with today’s “Safe and Sound” performed by Grammy-nominated singer, Janiva Magness. The collection all feature five cover versions of songs written and performed by Chris Cornell, in an effort to uphold Cornell’s legacy and keep the promise as a way to make positive change through music, made to him by Blue Élan co-Founder, and personal friend, Kirk Pasich.

Chris Cornell, the 17-track self-titled 2LP, was recognized by the Recording Academy and the wider industry with a GRAMMY® Award for Best Recording Packaging at the 2020 ceremonies.  This award is the second GRAMMY® Award tied to this release, the first being in 2019 for Best Rock Performance for the previously unreleased track, “When Bad Does Good.”

Multi-Grammy® Award-winning, Golden Globe nominee Chris Cornell is featured in a new video released today in conjunction with his Grammy® nominated song "The Promise." In the clip, Cornell's children, Toni, Lily, and Christopher vow to continue to honor their late father's pledge to raise awareness for human rights. A number of stars have come together to show their support and solidarity for the cause as well, including Elton John, Tom Hanks, Barbra Streisand, George Clooney, and many more.

Local nonprofit Childhaven today announced the establishment of the "Chris Cornell Music Therapy Program at Childhaven" in memory of the late musician and philanthropist. Vicky Cornell has committed $100,000 to assist Childhaven's therapeutic early learning model for trauma-affected children. This announcement comes on July 20, the date of Chris Cornell's birth.
 

Multiple Grammy Award winning and Golden Globe nominee Chris Cornell performed three songs over the weekend on CBS This Morning Saturday, including "The Promise" -- a new original song which is featured in new film The Promise starring Academy Award Winning actor Christian Bale and Golden Globe Winning actor Oscar Isaac, in theaters now.
