Singer-songwriter Tara Hack will be released her new single, “Let Go” on Friday, September 4th, through Ephilm Productions LLC. “’Let Go,’ is a break-up song and one of the first produced on my debut album,” said Hack. “The song is an homage to Avril Lavigne, who has influenced my music deeply.” Hack, a Long Island native and New York City subway busker, was discovered in the Big Apple’s bustling Penn Station, while playing for massive crowds of New York commuters.

“Let Go,” the follow-up single to her debut, heartfelt song, “She Wants To Be Loved,” is about a woman who is ready to find her way in life and move past a hardship. This new track continues to solidify Hack’s commitment to her storytelling, documenting modern love and life and setting it to music.

“Let Go,” was mixed by audio engineer Craig Alvin, best known for his Grammy-winning work mixing “Golden Hour,” by Kacey Musgraves. “It has been such a pleasure to work with Tara,” said Alvin. “She is learning and growing with every recording.”

Singer-Songwriter, Tara Hack, will be releasing her new single, “Overthinking” on December 4th, 2020 through Ephilm Productions, LLC. The tune will be a part of her untitled, forthcoming album, out next year. Joining Hack on the song is platinum-selling, singer-songwriter, Ryan Cabrera, the mastermind behind global smashes such as “On the Way Down,” “True” and “Shine On,” as well as albums including 2004’s RIAA certified platinum album, Take It All Away, which hit #8 on the Billboard Top 200.

The lyrics behind “Overthinking,” written by Hack, Anthony Babino and Steven Babino, were born from the singer’s indecisiveness to pursue a career in music. “For me, as an artist, I've dealt with a mix of knowing that I am going to pursue this until I've got nothing left, and wondering if it's time to try something else,” says Hack. “It can be tough to amp yourself up and not get discouraged.”

Luckily for Hack, her overthinking has led her to team up with one of her musical idols. “Ryan Cabrera's album, Take It All Away, was definitely a big motivator for me as an artist - specifically, his track ‘On the Way Down,’” she says. “The fact that he wanted to work with me was pretty surreal. Especially, on a song that was based on me questioning whether I should be pursuing this profession or not.”

“I had an absolute blast working with Tara Hack on “Overthinking,” said Cabrera. “She is such a talented writer and up-and-coming artist! Be on the lookout!”

Tara Hack was discovered as a New York City subway busker in the Big Apple’s bustling Penn Station while playing for huge crowds of New York commuters. Her soulful music has been getting steady airplay on SiriusXM's Velvet Channel and Loft Channel, as well as local and national US radio stations and a massive number of Spotify playlists.

Singer-songwriter, Brooke Moriber, signed to Reviver Records in Nashville, has released two tracks inspired by the COVID-19 pandemic. “In It Together,” and “Better Days,” were both conceived during the darkest days of 2020, and are available now for streaming.

Moriber, a Manhattan native, has come a long way from her Broadway roots, an evolution that has led her from New York City to Nashville and beyond. She began her music career at the age of 8, landing the role of young “Cosette” in Les Misérables, which was a springboard to various acting roles on stage and screen.

Moriber turned to songwriting when diagnosed with a rare eye disease as a teenager, recording words and melodies to cope with the debilitating lack of sight, painful treatments and side effects. “I woke up one morning and couldn't see my face in the mirror,” she said. “Just a thick haze of blurry colors. I was told that without heavy doses of cortisone and chemotherapeutic drugs I would go completely blind.” Moriber turned to meditation and self healing, willing herself to continue performing and to the surprise of her doctors, the disease went in to remission four years later.

A writing appointment on Zoom in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic inspired Moriber and two songwriters to create a healing anthem. T he remotely-written song, “In It Together,” was a product of the Nashville/NYC connection between Moriber and veteran Music Row songwriters Bill DiLuigi and Kirsti Manna.

In April, 2020, Moriber put out a home recorded version of ”In It Together,” set against a video of her beloved hometown, New York City, struggling through the pandemic.  Seeing how people were connecting with the song, Brooke decided to do a full, remotely recorded production, under the helm of legendary producer, Fred Mollin.

A few weeks after the release of “In It Together,” Moriber was inspired to write another pandemic anthem.  “Better Days”, is a crowd rousing, lift-your-lighters, kind of song about hope.  Co-written over Zoom with friend and colleague Reed Waddle, the song takes us on a journey through an empty metropolis where every corner brings back memories of what was before but also reminds us of our resilience and gives us hope for a better tomorrow. “We decided this was a song that people needed to hear now,” says Moriber.  “Better Days” can be heard on SiriusXMs Velvet station.

Moriber, who is currently in the studio recording three new tracks for Reviver Records, has worked and performed with notable artists such as: Cyndi Lauper, Alan Cumming, Ana Gastayer, Nelly McKay, Lily Taylor, Kirsten Johnston, Carlos Leon,  Mandy Patinkin, Tony Colette, Eartha Kitt, and The Gin Blossoms. Recently Brooke had the privilege of sharing billing with The Gibson Brothers, Sheryl Crow, and Livingston Taylor in performing in tribute to Willie Nelson.
