Acclaimed band Lake Street Dive has just released their eagerly awaited eighth studio album, "Good Together," now available via Fantasy Records. The band’s vibrant and genre-defying sound continues to captivate audiences worldwide.

Earlier this week, Lake Street Dive delivered a stunning performance of their new track “Dance With a Stranger” on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” Watch and share the performance HERE, and catch the official music video for the song HERE.

“A song inspired by a square dance, where folks from different communities come together and get a chance to move together,” details the band’s Bridget Kearney. “It’s always a good antidote for working out the kinks, personally and interpersonally. Get EVERYBODY in a room together and let them DANCE.”

In support of the new album, the band has embarked on their Good Together Tour. Highlights include their upcoming return to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre on July 21, as well as their inaugural headline performance at Madison Square Garden on September 14. They’ll also be playing to a sold-out crowd at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on July 27. For a complete list of dates and to purchase tickets, click HERE.

Leading up to the album's release, Lake Street Dive unveiled the songs “Good Together,” “Better Not Tell You,” and “Twenty-Five.” American Songwriter praises “Twenty-Five,” noting that “lead singer Rachael Price swells and belts out thoughts about getting older, love, and distance. These are the ingredients to stir the soul.” NPR Music’s All Songs Considered also featured the track, highlighting its “generosity of spirit and humility.”

"Good Together" represents a renewed sense of purpose for Lake Street Dive, aiming to highlight our shared humanity against the social divisions pulling us apart. The ethos of the album can be described as “joyful rebellion,” offering music that is both energetic and danceable while remaining defiantly principled.

The band worked once more with Grammy-winning producer Mike Elizondo (Fiona Apple, Sheryl Crow, Gary Clark Jr.), and for the first time, all members of the band collaborated in the earliest, most vulnerable stages of songwriting. This collaborative approach expanded the band’s musical palette and expressive range, as they gathered in drummer Mike Calabrese’s Vermont home to create.

“In the past, we’d written pieces of songs and shared them with each other and built them up from there, but we always had the space to listen and reflect in total privacy,” details lead singer Rachael Price. “At first it was terrifying to write together in the same room, but as soon as we got started it felt so fun. We very quickly realized, ‘Oh, we need to do this again and again.’”

"Good Together" follows the band’s critically acclaimed 2021 release, "Obviously," which received praise from Rolling Stone and Downbeat. Across their storied career, Lake Street Dive has built a legacy as a rare collection of musicians with dynamic songwriting chemistry and genre-bending mastery, pushing the boundaries of pop, soul, jazz, and folk.

Formed in Boston while studying jazz at the New England Conservatory of Music, Lake Street Dive’s breakthrough album "Bad Self Portraits" was released in 2014, followed by "Side Pony" (2016), "Free Yourself Up" (2018), and "Obviously" (2021). Their most recent recording, 2022’s "Fun Machine: The Sequel," is a six-track covers EP featuring songs by Bonnie Raitt, The Pointer Sisters, and Carole King.
