Hello Friends of Cervantes'!

As you know, all venues, restaurants and bars in Colorado are now closed through May 11 to help contain the spread of Covid-19. Our awesome & dedicated staff are suddenly out of work & will need money for rent, food, utilities, healthcare, etc.  Any amount you can give will be divided among all of our staff:  door staff, production, bartenders, bar backs and box office.

As of late, the town of Fort Collins has played host to a plethora of tour openers and tour closers. Tuesday night saw the tour finale for Sam Bush and his never-ending musical travels and without skipping a beat, Wednesday brought the PHAB 4 to Washington’s to begin their three-night Colorado run of collaboration.

If singer-songwriter Colin Hay, (most famous as the frontman for Australian 80s hitmakers Men at Work) ever has to give up music, he could easily have a career in standup comedy. The feisty veteran pop star displayed his devilish wit with a Scottish twist at his opening concert on his latest solo tour. At age 23 I was negotiating my first, real job, trying to balance social commitments, a tad self-absorbed, overly anxious and sadly eating apples and peanut butter with a side of cheese and crackers for dinner. (Well, truth be told, my dinner is still this pathetic array, but I moved to expensive gluten free alternatives and predominately goat as a better dairy option.) I was just trying to stay afloat, not making societal contributions.

We are incredibly saddened to share that Old Settler's Music Festival will be postponed due to COVID-19 concerns. Caldwell County officials have made the tough but right decision to prohibit public gatherings of over 500 people at this time in order to protect the health of its citizens which means that we must postpone the festival. The well-being of Old Settler’s community of loyal festgoers, musical artists, sponsors, volunteers and vendors is truly our first priority.
