Henriette Sennenvaldt, the former frontwoman of the acclaimed, boundary-defying Danish band, Under Byen, delves further into the far edges of jazz-pop on her debut solo LP, Something Wonderful out this Friday via Paper Bag Records. Today, she releases “Very Fantastic”, a dark jazz lament carried by Sennenvaldt’s soft whispers and swelling orchestral horns. Addictive to the ear, it rewards the patient listener with a tune both generous and strange.

“It was paramount that we practiced restraint, to not abandon tradition in the name of originality,” says singer and songwriter Pony Bradshaw of the recording process on his new album, Calico Jim.

Appalachian folk-rock/alt-country group Wayne Graham have officially released their new LP, 1% Juice, a self-produced twelve-track collection of roots-rock songs that draw inspiration from Americana, classic country, Southern rock, indie-fok & more.
