Today, Boston-based progressive rock quartet ElephantProof announced plans for a four-show northeast run in January 2022. The project, born nearly a decade ago at Berklee College of Music, features founding members of Goose Ben Atkind (Drums) and Chris Enright (Keys), as well as Sean Cronin (Guitar) and Shon Gordon (Bass). Tour commences on 1/7 at Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke, MA, followed by a show at the brand-new Park City Music Hall in Bridgeport, CT on 1/8.

On a slow morning in the early days of quarantine in summer 2020, I received a text from a friend with a link to a performance of “Laura, I’m Sorry About the Cobbler,” by Kendall Street Company. My interest was piqued by the warm energy and the goofy nature of the band I was watching. I loved everything about their performance. It was funky and jazzy and folksy all at the same time! I was hooked and couldn’t wait to hear all the new music they were producing.

Dead and Company returned to California for the first of several shows in the sunshine state on October 27th. The marathon concert took place at the North Island Credit Union Amphitheatre in Chula Vista. The vast outdoor venue is situated in the California desert south and east of San Diego. The location was the perfect backdrop for the multi-million dollar multimedia extravaganza that accompanies a live Dead and Company performance.
