Steve Young is a globetrotting session guitarist, teacher and entertainer turned Singer/Songwriter. Early TV appearances with Lionel Richie and Peter Andre soon led to full time touring duties with world famous artists most notably ex-Savage Garden front man Darren Hayes which took Steve on trips around the world performing at the Royal Albert Hall, Wembley Arena, Brisbane QPAC, LA Roxy and many more and ending as co-writer on his last album in 2012.

Born from the Sierra Nevada mountain region of California and followed faithfully since for its soulful, cello-driven bluegrass, Sweetwater String Band continues to delight fans from stages, radio stations, and festivals across the country. Having just completed summer shows in Colorado, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Montana, the celebrated group takes to the road yet again for an album release tour promoting third studio album, At Night (September 29, 2017).

Boris Garcia has got quite the tenure on the road, touring for over eight years with five albums to date. Their newest release, Around Some Corner, offers their finest material to date. Guitarist, singer, and songwriter Bob Stirner sat down with Grateful Web to talk about the new album and other exciting endeavors.

GW: Tell me about your formational years as a musician. Who were some influential musicians or acts to you?

Two-time Grammy-winning bassist Oteil Burbridge is announcing a new solo album Water In The Desert. Produced by David Ryan Harris, every track on the record was written by Burbridge and features an all-star cast of some of his favorite musicians including his brother Kofi Burbridge on keys, Dave Yoke on guitar, Lil’ John Roberts, Sean O’Rourke on drums, Miguel Atwood Ferguson on strings and outstanding vocalists Alfreda Gerald and Mark Rivers. Water In The Desert will be released on October 20, 2017.

PaviElle French is no stranger to the world of music. Raised in a progressive household in the historic Rondo neighborhood, the singer became well-acquainted with her artistic side at a young age. Though she started touring at just 16 and shared iconic stages with legends like the late Sonny Knight, it took PaviElle a one-way ticket to Hawaii and a five-year hiatus to harness the power of her own sound. Today, her neo-soul vibe is infused with 70’s rhythm and blues, Sarah Vaughan-esque scatting, and of course, her roots.

Fall in Upstate New York is quickly approaching and the Capital Region’s Formula 5 will hit the Northeast and Colorado with 28 shows full of brisk jams and crisp improvisation that has become a staple of their touring machine.

Seattle's own, Polyrhythmics, have announced a West Coast tour this Fall to accompany their September run in the Northeast, including headline performances at Slim's in San Francisco, Star Theatre in Portland and a two-night hometown stand at Tractor Tavern in Seattle.

This past Saturday at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater, Nederland’s own Yonder Mountain String Band and longtime jam legends Gov’t Mule co-headlined an action-packed show filled with sit-ins, surprises and an incredible all-star tribute to the late great Gregg Allman. It was the first time in over ten years that Yonder and Gov’t Mule have teamed up for a show. The Marcus King Band also joined in on the festivities, as members of all three bands sat in with one another throughout their respective sets.
