On June 24, Round Records & ATO Records will release GarciaLive Volume Six: July 5, 1973 – Jerry Garcia & Merl Saunders, the latest installment of the celebrated GarciaLive archival series. The three-CD set was recorded at the 200 capacity Lion’s Share club formerly located in the small town of San Anselmo, CA, just 20 miles north of San Francisco. The performance features Jerry Garcia performing with friend, mentor and legendary keyboardist/vocalist Merl Saunders.

Today, Hillberry: The Harvest Moon Festival announces an additional 12 artists to join the already incredible lineup for the 2nd annual festival taking place October 13-16, 2016 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Colorado songwriters Pete Pidgeon & Arcoda are setting their sights on a very big year. Their new album, “All the Little Things”, was “soft” released on Record Store Day, April 16, 2016 exclusively at select independent record stores in Manhattan, Denver, and Boulder – including in-store signings & solo performances at two Denver Angelo’s CDs locations – and on the band’s website.

Dopapod played two energetic and career expanding nights at the Theater of the Living Arts on South Street in Philadelphia. It was the first time in my old stomping grounds in quite some time. It was exactly twenty years ago that I saw moe. there and Gov’t Mule with Alan Woody. That was the first time I experienced tinnitus and loved it. Here in the present, I can tell that Dopapod is going to be the next Phish or Umphrey’s McGee on the jam band circuit.

Led by the Tim Bluhm’s caramel smooth baritone vocals, a unique bunch of renowned San Francisco Bay area-based players got together on May 11 to deliver a musical tribute to the recently fallen Merle Haggard. The show took place at the intimate Sweetwater Music Hall in Mill Valley, California.

Born of African-Caribbean descent in Québec, Kaia Kater grew up between two worlds: one her family’s deep ties to Canadian folk music in her Toronto home; the other the years she spent learning and studying Appalachian music in West Virginia.
