Moving from January to the month of May, the New York Guitar Festival returns in 2016 with an intensely focused week of concert programming from May 8 to May 14, followed by a full day of free workshops, master classes, and panel discussions on May 15. In its new season of spring, the Festival continues a long-standing tradition: spotlighting a global range of guitar styles and cross-cultural mash-ups. 

It's been nearly two years since Gramatik dropped his seminal album, The Age of Reason, in partnership with BitTorrent, quickly becoming the platform's third most downloaded artist in 2014. Since then Gramatik has embarked on several world tours, leaving only the occasional weekend off to record. He used the downtime wisely, painstakingly crafting his most sonically sprawling and ambitious record yet.

Devil In The Yard, the third album from Northern California psychedelic rock ‘n’ roots band Achilles Wheel, finds the quintet developing their honest musicianship and stellar songwriting. Guitarist, singer & songwriter Paul Kamm’s folksier tendencies have morphed and developed securely alongside Johnny Mojo Flores blistering leads and soulful storytelling.

Prompted by the critical and commercial success of the 2015 release of previously unavailable live recordings from newly-elected Blues Hall of Fame inductee John Mayall and his classic 1967 Bluesbreakers band, Forty Below Records has announced a second batch of recordings to be released on May 6.

Kiefer Sutherland will bring his rich, soulful vocals and guitar licks to venues across the country beginning April 14 when he performs for audiences with a set list that includes cuts from his folk-tinged album, Down In A Hole, set for release this summer.
