Frogleg is a fresh young band out of Minneapolis. Since their first show in late 2012, a major buzz about the band Frogleg has been spreading throughout the Twin Cities music scene stemming from their ever‐growing weekly tradition, “Frogleg Thursdays @ Bunkers Music Bar & Grill” in downtown Minneapolis. Outside of Bunker’s, the band has now headlined shows at most of the major venues in Minneapolis from the Cabooze to the Skyway Theatre downtown.

On the heels of an acclaim-filled year with bluegrass band Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen, the group’s bandleader and mandolinist, Frank Solivan, releases his highly anticipated solo release, Family, Friends & Heroes. 

Available today on Compass Records, Family, Friends & Heroes is a labor of love and a stellar piece of work. A nod to the musical heroes inside and outside of Solivan’s family, the project features Dirty Kitchen members, some of Solivan’s own kinfolk, and several special musical guests.

The Joe Marcinek Band comes to the Midwest for a 4 day run of shows March 16-19, 2016. Joe will be joined by an all-star line-up, including Ropeadope Recording Artist Freekbass and Steve Molitz of Particle and Phil Lesh & Friends. This run of shows will take the acclaimed line-up through Columbus OH, Evansville IN, Kalamazoo MI and Neenah WI.

The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band (Jeff Hanna, Jimmie Fadden, Bob Carpenter and John McEuen) will host a star-studded televised PBS special throughout March that was filmed at the historic Ryman Auditorium during a sold-out performance as the iconic group celebrates its 50th anniversary. When Elephant Revival took to the studio in Maine to record their 4^th LP – Petals(Thirty Tigers), with Josh Ritter’s long time collaborator and producer Sam Kassirer, it would be the first time doing so without founding member and singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Sage Cook.  It would also be the band’s studio introduction of Charlie Rose who stepped in Sage Cook’s place following his departure.  For the uninitiated, Elephant Revival is a self-described Transcendental Folk Quintet band

San Francisco's Cool Ghouls have been busy preparing their 2016 campaign for rock'n'roll around the world, putting the finishing touches on a forthcoming LP and tightening up their new jams at house shows around their home city. The ghouls are hitting the road to spread the word up and down the West Coast later this month. They will start in Eugene, OR, make their way to Boise for Treefort Music Festival, and end up in Los Angeles, making stops all along the way.

Fans of the Madison, Wisconsin-based collective Natty Nation have been anticipating a new album since the group whet their appetite in 2010 with the emotive and anthemic single, “Suffice.” The song was the first new track since the group’s highly acclaimed 2008 album, Reincarnation. On March 11^th, Natty Nation will release Divine Spark (iNatty Records). The album represents epiphanic spiritual and artistic journeys.

In the last few years Pittsburgh’s live music scene has been revitalized, especially for jam band lovers. Some recent notable visits include The String Cheese Incident, STS9, Umphrey’s McGee, Widespread Panic, Twiddle, Tauk, and Aqueous, to name a few. Out of this has influence come Pittsburgh’s own premier jam/psychedelic funk band, a group of young and talented musicians who call themselves The Clock Reads.
