The Get Right Band

The Get Right Band out of Asheville, NC, will be releasing their 5th studio album on 5/23/2020.  My only complaint is that it can’t come out sooner.  With 14 tracks and an edgy vibe, these songs are keeping me dancing while the #shelterinplace order continues.

The Get Right Band will be releasing their fifth album on May 23, 2020. Itchy Soul explodes with fresh ideas and original production--voices fade into snyths, drums distort and echo through space, crunchy guitars twist and bend and rage, the bass is one moment heavy and driving, the next hypnotic and groovy. The Get Right Band filters 60's/70's psychedelia and 90's alternative rock through a modern lens--as if Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, and Nirvana co-wrote an album produced by Danger Mouse and Dan Auerbach.

The Get Right Band On Tour Now + Album

"Who's in Charge?" asks "who's got the power?" Me? You? Them? In so many situations we've all been in--business, school, politics--why should the few have power over the many? When we recorded this track, we wanted to combine the high energy rock n' roll that we bring to our live shows with the psychedelic approach we took in producing this album. It's the first song of the journey and the title track, so we really put everything we've got into it.

The Get Right Band, is releasing its hotly anticipated new album, Bass Treble Angel Devil. The hour-long juggernaut of high-energy tunes, bold and witty lyrics, and adventurous production approach melds funk, rock, and reggae into a dance party album that will have listeners singing along and shaking their booties from track one.

You know what the world really needs? Another music festival. Just kidding of course, I’m very happy to be living in a day and age where this summer I have an outstanding choice of festivals with phenomenal lineups, plus the annual jump on the bus summer tours to choose from, all within easy drives from the NYC area. My only complaint festival wise is how uniform most of the lineups are. There’s a lot to be said for diversity, and with that in mind I have the perfect suggestion.
