We Dream Dawn

INTUIT formed in 2011 in Boulder, CO and began to shape their sound and intentions together on the campus of Naropa University. With roots in reggae, funk, jazz, blues, hip-hop, folk, and world music, the band has developed a distinguishable sound of their own. Their song writing crosses genres with a rich improvisational component that keeps a fresh live energy to their wide repertoire of original music. With heart-warming lulls, climactic peaks, and endless stylistic shape–shifting, Intuit delivers a captivating groove that all can enjoy.

We Dream Dawn and Taarka are slated to play The Caribou Room Friday April 14th 2017. Long time friends and collaborators, the bands are sure to offer an evening steeped in both deep musical kinship and new explorations. Colorado drummer Mark Levy (Phil Lesh and Friends, Circles Around the Sun, Bonfire Dub) along with Enion Pelta-Tiller (Taarka) will be augmenting the sonic breadth of WE DREAM DAWN and Taarka will have plenty of new musical morsels to share.

Ethereal folk-rock band, WE DREAM DAWN, will be returning to Colorado for the release of their new EP titled The Return of the Light.

After eight years of playing with Elephant Revival, the ambitious Sage Cook decided to chase a different dream. He moved to an isolated patch of land on the border of Oklahoma and Kansas with the long-term goal of setting up a farming community. After a year of pruning fruit trees, caring for livestock, and cultivating that community- new music was just another logical, organic process. We Dream Dawn is the product of living close to the land and letting ideas slowly develop over time.
