"When you get the spark, you got to ride that energy," says G. Love, and that spark certainly ignites on his 10th studio full-length Love Saves The Day. He calls the new release "the fullest realization of the hip-hop blues" that he first pioneered with Special Sauce in the early '90s. The album, due out October 30 on Brushfire Records, not only features G.

At 14 years old, Ruby Boots—real name Bex Chilcott— left a conflicted home in Perth, Western Australia  to  do grueling work on pearling boats, and she hasn’t stopped migrating since. Her nomadic streak has taken her around the world, and eventually to Nashville,  TN.

Woven with the threads of funk, soul, gospel, blues and rock -- and executed by some of the industry's most beloved players -- The Big Ol' Nasty Getdown's Volume 2 is available worldwide today. Collaborators on this release include Vernon Reid (Living Colour,) Speech (Arrested Development,) Larry Dunn (Earth, Wind and Fire,) Fred Wesley(The James Brown Band), Taylor Dayne and countless other talented musicians.

The Grateful Dead's last touring show of 1977 finds them going for broke, taking chances on fan favorites like "Jack Straw," "Friend Of The Devil," and "The Music Never Stopped," carving out righteous grooves on a one-of-kind "Scarlet>Fire" and a tremendous "Truckin'."
