When Gov’t Mule announced earlier this year that it would have Oteil and Friends opening shows Aug. 11 at the Roadrunner in Boston and Aug. 13 at the Westville Music Bowl in New Haven, the mind reeled with the possibilities of what to expect.

Today British Underground and Jazz re:freshed announced the release of “Outernational Live from Studio Two Abbey Road” a unique live LP featuring new stars of UK jazz recorded at the world-famous Abbey Road Studios during the winter lockdown of 2021. Tracks were originally laid-down for a covid-friendly filmed show hosted by the South by Southwest (SXSW) music festival in March of that year following a run of ground-breaking live showcases at the Austin event since 2017.

Earlier this year, Jeremy Garrett (from the GRAMMY-winning Infamous Stringdusters) returned to the bluegrass roots that first brought him accolades and critical attention when he released his third album for Organic Records, River Wild.

MARCOS VALLE is a major songwriter of Brazilian Popular music with songs recorded by Sarah Vaughan, Jay-Z, Diana Krall, Chicago, Dizzy Gillespie, Oscar Peterson, Dave Brubeck, Toots Thielemans, Joe Pass, Astrud Gilberto, Babel Gilberto, Sergio Mendes, to name a few. Birdland is proud to welcome Marcos Valle, multi-talented musician and Vocalist, back due to popular demand, accompanied  by Renato “Massa” Calmon/Drums, Jesse Sadoc/Trumpet, and Patricia Alvi /Vocals, from Brazil and Itaiguara Brandao/Bass.
