Asheville-based rocker Andrew Scotchie continues to carve his name into the hearts of music lovers nationwide, blending soulful rock & roll with compelling social commentary and electrifying performances. With his most recent studio album, Love is Enough,” Scotchie proved himself as an ever-evolving songwriter whose work resonates across diverse audiences.

This summer, Scotchie received a unique invitation after opening for Neal Francis and Susto in Macon, Georgia—a city steeped in musical history. He was asked by Macon Music Live to perform at the Allman Brothers Museum, affectionately known as “The Big House.” From 1970 to 1973, The Big House served as home to members of the Allman Brothers Band (ABB), their roadies, and close-knit community. Today, it stands as a living monument to ABB’s legendary legacy, offering fans a glimpse into their rehearsal spaces, writing rooms, and the gear that shaped their sound.

On a sultry July afternoon, Scotchie and his bandmates—Mckinney and Clark Eden—set up beneath a sprawling live oak, channeling the spirit of Macon’s storied past. Performing with the intensity of a sold-out arena show, the band delivered a nearly two-hour set that captured the essence of Scotchie’s live performances: raw, heartfelt, and irresistibly energetic. The set list was an eclectic mix of power trio rock & roll, combined with poignant, earnest songwriting—a true testament to Scotchie’s dynamic artistry.

Now, fans can relive the magic. On Friday, November 29th, Andrew Scotchie will release the first single, “Love is Enough,” from the forthcoming live album “Live from the Big House Museum.” The band will return to Macon on December 20th for a special show at Grant’s Historic Lounge with Katie Coleman. On Scotchie’s 32nd birthday, January 17th, the full live album will be released on all streaming and download platforms. A portion of the Bandcamp sales will benefit Beloved Asheville, an organization playing a critical role in rebuilding efforts in Western North Carolina after Hurricane Helene.
