The Big Ol' Nasty Getdown is back with a funk-filled explosion of sound in their latest release, RepurposE Purpose, Vol 1. Dropping digitally on September 6th, 2024, this EP is a skin-tight yet sprawling testament to the power of collaboration and groove, featuring an extraordinary lineup of legendary musicians from some of the most iconic bands across the globe.

This wildly expansive but cohesive super funky EP features contributions from past and present members of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, Fishbone, New Power Generation, 24-7 Spyz, P-Funk, The Wallflowers, The Meters, Korn, Suicidal Tendencies, Empire Strikes Brass, Yo Mama's Big Fat Booty Band, The Fritz, Railroad Earth, Snarky Puppy, Moe, Les Claypool's Frog Brigade, The Innocent Criminals, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Boombox, Delta Nove, and Ozomatli. With the legendary Jack Irons on drums, the album also spotlights bass wizards like Cody Wright, Freekbass, Frank Mapstone, and Philip Lassiter, under the visionary leadership of musician and curator John Heintz.
