This past spring, deadmau5 announced for the 2021 edition he and his label mau5trap have teamed with leading travel experience creators Pollen to offer fans something new – a three-day ‘day of the deadmau5’ event set for October 28-31, 2021 in Miami. Now organizers have announced further details on the three-day event with confirmed artists for the weekend extravaganza. Not only will attendees be able to take in one of a kind deadmau5, deadmau5 unhooked and TESTPILOT sets, but they will also get access to premiere performances from top names from the mau5trap family including Callie Reiff, Lamorn, Lauren Mia, Le Youth, Morgin Madison, NERO (DJ set), Rinzen, Speaker Honey, Spencer Brown and Todd Edwards.
Phase One packages which were made available upon day of the deadmau5’ initial announcement have sold out, but now with the line-up reveal Phase Two packages are now available today, Wednesday, August 18. It’s only $30 to reserve a spot and monthly payment plans are available interest-free. For 2021, deadmau5--who has hosted some of the most memorable Halloween season events with his annual day of the deadmau5 shows from sold-out spectaculars at Red Rocks in Colorado to Chicago and Atlanta—and Pollen will center the festivities around South Beach hotels and one of kind venues to bring the experience to life. The fun begins Thursday, October 28 with check in and the ‘Are You Not Afraid?’ welcome party with a headlining set from TESTPILOT and special guests. Friday, October 29, fans can party at the mau5trap records showcase at Oasis Wynwood with an unhooked set from deadmau5. Saturday, October 30 rounds out the experience with the ‘ghosts ‘n stuff’ haunted headline show with special guests that night with an immersive experience at an epic Miami venue.
Attendees are also privy to special add on events including ‘There Might Be Coffee’ party brunches. More special events will be added to the itinerary in the weeks to come. For those local to Miami, a limited number of three-day party passes will be available with no hotel accommodations included.
deadmau5’ latest release “When The Summer Dies” with fellow Canadian superstar Lights highlights her pop sensibility set against a fun and playful production from the producer. The song is now impacting at U.S. dance music radio and look for its music video to arrive soon, marking a special milestone in deadmau5’ digital roadmap, as it will be the results of a video jam collab contest with CORE, created in Manticore; a virtual gaming experience by his and Richie Hawtin’s new company PIXELYNX. “When The Summer Dies” follows deadmau5 and Lights first collaboration, late 2018’s “Drama Free,” which appeared on the soundtrack for the Netflix feature film Polar which deadmau5 also did the score for. The track went on to become a highlight in his 2019/20 North American cubev3 tour show where he was joined by Lights at each date to perform it.
