From June 6th to the 9th, thousands will return again to rural Stephentown, NY located just 30 minutes east of Albany, for an unforgettable weekend of music, art, and sport. 2019 will be our 9th consecutive year independently producing Disc Jam Music Festival. Each year we strive to bring you the most unique and diverse lineups we could possibly imagine while staying true to the small grassroots style festival experience that we've become known for. And boy are confidant that we've outdone ourselves this time!

Last year Lotus played an absolutely incredible set on Saturday night that had both old and new fans raving about it throughout the year. We couldn't be more excited to have them back to headline the festival again in 2019 but we’ve added a little something to spice things up! Lotus will be performing its entire set with a VERY special and previously never done before collaboration with The Disco Biscuits guitarist Jon the Barber Gutwillig joining them. Since our announcement this has already begun a must-see performance for both fans of Lotus and The Disco Biscuits alike.

There are plenty of great bands covering the Dead's catalog of material within their various sounds and styles. We wanted to bring something to the table that would undoubtedly stand out. John Kadlecik & The West Philly Fadeaway is exactly that act.

Featuring Disco Biscuits bassist Marc Brownstein, and keyboardist Aron Magner, Lotus' Mike Greenfield, and original The Disco Biscuits drummer Sam Altman on the dual drum kits coupled with John K's experience touring as the lead guitarist of the famed Furthur at the helm of this mega group this will undoubtedly be a uniquely modern twist on the Grateful Dead. Both Brownstein and Magner will yet again get the chance to jam with their brethren Sammy bringing all four of the original members of The Disco Biscuits into any scheduled event in over 14 years! To make things even more exciting, the possibilities of a Barber or Tom Hamilton sit in will have us all speculating will they all play?!?!

Other headlining additions to the 2019 lineup include the mid-west future funk duo The Floozies, and one of the hottest bands out right now in Ripe. The Boston-based group is made up of seven members, blending a number of genres together. They aim to capture the energy of a jam band while using elements of hard-hitting funk with the exploratory nature of jazz-fusion. Hot off of two monster sell out shows of Boston's House of Blues and NYC's Brooklyn Steel they're definitely considered as THE must-see act of the 2019 festival season. If you haven’t heard of them, Disc Jam is happy to be the one that introduces you to their music.

We always try to bring new talent to Disc Jam and we’re proud to have a core of Disc Jam alumni on this year’s lineup, but we always plan to bring in new artists who have never played Disc Jam before. Papadosio, a quintet who have toured the country relentlessly and built a massive following and we couldn't be more excited to have them at their first Disc Jam this June. When it comes to psychedelic space rock and melodic vocal arraignments they are simply one of the best. We’re expecting a mind-bending set that leaves the audience in awe, you should be too!

Returning Disc Jam acts with multiple years of tenure include Moon Hooch (2nd year), Soule Monde (3rd year), Pink Talking Fish (4th year), Formula 5 (5th year), Consider The Source (7th year) and Kung Fu (8th year) make up just some of glue that has kept the lineups consistent and loyal for years and years.

Oh, and don’t forget Marc Brownstein’s new side-project, Star Kitchen. They’ve been garnishing a ton of extremely positive feedback from everyone who has seen them. Made up of guitarist Danny Mayer of Eric Krasno Band, Rob Marscher (Addison Groove Project) and drummer Marlon Lewis of John Legend and Lauryn Hill fame are red hot after they inaugural tour and electrifying performance on this year's Jam Cruise. While we’re talking about red hot musicians, make sure you’re planning on seeing Tom Hamilton’s band, Ghost Light. They have the raw power of a runaway train, and no matter how exploratory they may get, Hamilton and keys sorceress Holly Bowling will continue to conduct their magic the entire duration of the ride.

Ghost-Note is probably the most talented group of musicians that Disc Jam has ever had. Built around the 8 time Grammy-winning drumming of Robert “Sput” Searight and Snarky Puppy's 2 time Grammy winner Nate Werth on percussion this band can level a crowd and have the attention of every musician in the room their entire set. They are taking Funk and musicianship to the next level that is impossible to ignore. Their 2018 release of Swagism captured the attention of music lovers, and critics alike. We’re expecting them to have a stand-out set once again this year as they are set to return for their 3rd Disc Jam in as many years.

These acts are just the tip of the iceberg, with an entire lineup that is stacked deep with some of the best young and regional bands in the scene today. Every act on the lineup has been carefully selected by owner and founder Tony Scavone's team that will not disappoint yet again. From two sets of lespecial to The Elovaters to Pine Needle Soul's Mac Miller Tribute set there is something for the live music lover in everyone. We feel like this year's group of musical acts truly exemplifies what Disc Jam is. After last year’s sold out event, we’re ready to turn things up yet another notch - whether you’re returning or coming for the first time or been here for years, we simply cannot wait to see you. Get ready for one of the most unforgettable weekends of your life, Disc Jam 2019 is HERE!
