DOGS IN A PILE PLAN “CALIFORNIA RESIDENCY” FOR SPRING 2024

One year removed from a similar-type residency in Colorado, Dogs In A Pile (DIAP) will plant a month-long flag in “The Golden State”. Stretching across 15 dates and playing nine venues (including two shows in Arizona), the Dogs will set up camp out West in an area they’ve become awfully familiar with since the beginning of 2023.

Starting with their first visit to California – a festival slot in April 2023 at Skull & Roses – DIAP have continued a vigorous touring schedule that has allowed them to return to the state for 10 additional shows since then. They sold out Winston’s in San Diego in June of this year and will return to the lively beach club for four gigs in 2024 – March 28, April 4, April 11 and April 18.

Los Angeles will also get a quadruple serving of the band following their recent visit to West Hollywood – when they played at the Troubadour in support of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong. Venice West will host the weekly affair, happening on the consecutive Wednesdays of March 27, April 3, April 10 and April 17.

Also making a stop in San Francisco, the Dogs will once again team up with the fast-rising Andy Frasco & The U.N., in what is sure to be an electrifying night at The Fillmore on April 5. The well-paired acts have shared a bill five times in 2023 and will pick up the on-stage partnership next year with a now planned 16 future gigs together.

The five-piece will close out the calendar year with a pair of holiday shows at the legendary Stone Pony on December 15 and 16. A “VIP Upgrade” has been announced for the 16th, that will feature exclusive entry to a private soundcheck before doors (among a list of other VIP-only benefits). Following the homecoming run, they’ll play a Phish after-party at Sony Hall on December 28 and their first headlining NYE dates in Saratoga Springs, NY on December 30 and 31.

Forming in 2019 and hailing from Asbury Park, NJ – Dogs In A Pile is comprised of Berklee alumni and Billy Joel scholarship recipient Jeremy Kaplan (keyboardist), Berklee alumnus Brian Murray (guitarist) and Sam Lucid (bassist), and long-time Jersey Shore musicians Jimmy Law (guitarist) and Joey Babick (drums). Law and Babick have both been playing together since the young age of 11.
