Earphunk Announces Release of 'Sweet Nasty' + Late Summer Tour

Fresh off of recent sold-out performances with 311 and an appearance at the Electric Forest Festival, New Orleans prog-funk quintet Earphunk are proud to announce details for the release of their new studio album, Sweet Nasty. The band will hit the road to support the release of their third LP with two-months of dates including shows with Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk and the Kyle Hollingsworth Band. A full tour schedule is below.On August 18th, 2014, Earphunk will partner with the direct-to-fan publisher platform BitTorrent Bundle to exclusively release a content-rich multimedia bundle of Sweet Nasty. The next day, on August 19th, 2014, the album will be available on digital retail platforms worldwide. Earphunk joins a list of innovative marquee acts embracing the emerging publisher platform including Pretty Lights, Gramatik and G-Eazy. Last month, Earphunk partnered with BitTorrent Bundle to release their first Phunk Bundle offering fans a collection of live shows and studio albums available for streaming or download.Sweet Nasty featured technically inspired jams and high-energy funk. It was recorded over the past year at Studio in the Country in the band’s home state in-between multiple national and regional tour runs.
